Careers: where Level 6 study leads
Eight fields, one page each. For every field we name the roles that ordinarily sit at graduate level, say what a Level 6 diploma adds to a case for one of them, and say where it does not help.
Nobody should choose a qualification on the strength of a careers page, and we have tried not to write one that invites it. We hold no placement statistics and publish none. What we can do is describe the shape of each field as its practitioners and the learners we have advised describe it to us: which jobs treat degree-level study as the norm, which treat it as a tie-breaker, and which are governed by professional bodies whose rules a diploma does not change.
The eight pages share a structure so they can be compared. Each names the programmes on this site that belong to the field; where there are two or three, it says how they differ.
